Sparkling Herbal Beverages Sweetened With Honey

Our Story

When taking a break from planting in early summer 2016 I was making some bubbly juice-based drinks for lunch in a kludged together soda maker in my garage. My 9 year old son’s friend was over and happened to be sneezing all day. I wanted to give him some anti-histaminic type herbs but thought that he probably wouldn’t be open to them because of the flavors. So as I handed him the fizzy drink I said “Sorry about your sniffles buddy, next time I will make you an allergy soda”. As the words came out of my mouth Still Thyme Botanical Soda was born.

The next couple days I was glued to Google doing research and due diligence and couldn’t find anything like it currently on the market. Yes, there are specific silo-ed beverages like probiotics, energy drinks, but nothing that offered options across the constitutional spectrum. Classical Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional European Herbalism and indigenous people have been using plants for millennia with proven above-average success. Apothecary style sodas of the past incorporated medicinal herbs to combat ailments, but over the past century have been corrupted into just flavors and hollow representations of their noble origins.

Our aim at Still Thyme Soda is to revive these traditions, make medicinal herbs taste good and available to the masses, and in the process raise awareness of what health and well-being is. We are surrounded by a hot, stressful, over-stimulated culture where success is measured by accomplishments and not health or happiness. Our mission is to facilitate the paradigm shift and provide beverages and foods that truly nourish the body and soul based on traditional wisdom.

Our sodas are actually more like a sweet seltzer made from organic herbs, local honey, a touch of organic lemon juice and carbonation. Each of our varieties have been formulated with herbal energetic synergy, which means outside of tasting good they have a particular purpose. Rose Balm is made primarily with anxiolytic herbs – rose petals, lemon balm, and linden – all which help take the edge off of stress. Holy Basil or Tulsi is an adaptogen and helps lift and perk up energy without being stimulating. Hibiscus Mint is great as a cooling agent in general with affinity to the digestive and cardiovascular systems.

We have been on the market for about 4 months now and are sold in approximately 70 stores throughout VT, NH, MA, and upstate NY. While it would be nice, we are not looking to become millionaires, and instead would rather keep our product authentic to its core and provide the best customer service and product development that is possible.

We love feedback and look forward to hearing from you!
